Accreditation

VinUniversity’s College of Health Sciences operates under Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training and follows internationally oriented medical education standards. The MD curriculum was co-developed with the University of Pennsylvania and aligns with competency-based international medical education models.  

Quality of Education

The MD program is among the most internationally ambitious medical programs in Vietnam. It emphasizes competency-based medical education, professionalism, research, leadership, and early clinical exposure. English is the primary language of instruction, making it highly attractive for internationally oriented students.  

Clinical Training

Students train primarily through the Vinmec Healthcare System and affiliated tertiary hospitals. VinUniversity integrates early clinical exposure beginning in the first year and uses advanced simulation-based education.  

Faculty

The faculty includes international and Vietnamese clinicians, professors, and biomedical researchers, with academic collaboration involving UPenn and other international institutions.  

Research

VinUniversity is rapidly developing a strong biomedical research ecosystem focused on precision medicine, AI in healthcare, translational medicine, and clinical sciences. The university positions itself as a research-intensive institution.  

Rankings

Although relatively new, VinUniversity has rapidly gained international visibility due to major investment, Ivy League collaborations, and modern infrastructure. It is considered one of Vietnam’s fastest-rising universities.

Medicine tuition is among the highest in Vietnam, reflecting premium infrastructure, international faculty, English-medium instruction, and global-oriented medical training.
